Where is Caithness Show held?

The Show is held alternately at Riverside and Westerseat Grounds in Wick and Thurso East in Thurso. The 2025 Show will be held at Riverside & Westerseat, Wick, KW1 4TD.

What time does the Show start and finish?

Friday – Equestrian Events from 10am and gates open at 4pm for the preview evening which normally runs until around 9pm.

Saturday – Gates open to members of the public at 7.30am, the show normally runs until around 5pm.

How much does it cost to get into the Show?

Is there car parking on site?

Yes, there is free car parking near the showground. There will be parking stewards on hand to guide you to a space; car parking is a short distance from the entrances. If you have a “blue badge”, please show it to our parking attendants on your way into the field and you will be directed to disabled parking near the main entrance.

Is the Show suitable for disabled visitors?

We are delighted to welcome all visitors. Please be aware that the event takes place in fields; individuals must make their own assessment as to how easy it will be for them to navigate the showground, especially during wet weather when the ground may be muddy.

If I leave the showground, can I come back in?

Yes, but please make sure you are wearing your wristband before you leave, or you’ll have to pay again to re-enter the event.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we’d love the whole family to visit including your dog(s). Please be aware that the show can get very busy with both people and animals – so please make sure you know your dog will be comfortable in this type of Yes, we’d love to see the whole family including your dog(s), but please be aware that the show can be very busy with both people and animals. Dogs must always be kept on a short lead within the show ground, and we kindly request that you clean up after them. While you’re here you can also enter the Dog Show in the afternoon (entries taken on the day).

Are refreshments available?

Yes! We have a great range of catering vans and local produce stalls, selling a variety of food, drinks, snacks and treats! 

What if it rains?

Caithness weather can be very unpredictable, and we often experience all four seasons in one day! Some of the exhibits are in marquees or tents, however the Main Ring and most of the stock exhibits and judging takes place outside, no matter what the weather is doing. Be prepared and bring your jacket and a pair of welly boots and you’ll be all set!
